Aaron Phillips

Aaron is a Freelance Journalist, drummer in rock band Edge Of Reason, and a radio DJ. To fund these various projects and to keep topped up in drumsticks and electricity he can be found working for the Queen’s mail service! Aaron has a huge passion for music, more specifically Rock and Metal!

Adam Anonymous

Freelance writer-slash-legal English alien straight outta Cardiff, Wales, also seen penning junk for various magazines and the like over the past five years plus. Likes: Converge, The Jesus Lizard, noise, hip-hop of the non-generic UK persuasion and, shamefully, Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Mark Devlin

Mark Devlin is a UK-based club and radio DJ, music journalist and author, specialising in R&B, hip hop and dancehall. Over the past nineteen years, he has produced and presented radio shows, and DJed in clubs all over the world. He’s also just written his first book! ‘Tales From The Flipside’ is a witty and candid expose of what life is really like for the 95 per cent of working DJs who don’t happen to be A-list superstars..

Emily Anderton

Emily is a small town Gloucester girl who is hoping to move on to bigger and better things in 2010. She will be starting university in London studying English Literature and Journalism. Writing reviews for Rivmixx combines two of her favourite things - music of the rock/indie/punk variety and the sound of her own voice. She is also partial to a bit of funk and ska and she loves singing along loudly and badly to motown.

Jo-Anne Waddington

Our northern based reviewer, Jo, arrived in Manchester 3 years ago all on her lonesome and with little in her pocket but immediately won the hearts of the Manchester music folk. Always full of smiles, when she isn't busy running around being a one woman promotion machine, you'll find Jo propping up the bar at many of the live music night spots showing her support to new and unsigned bands.

Mathew Jones

Mathew is a musician/composer/journalist and teacher, currently studying an MA in music at Goldsmiths. He loves to review gigs, but much prefers being the one on stage! Ultimately aiming to be a film composer, day to day sees him compose music for television, film, adverts and even computer games.

Peter Walker

Peter is yet another aspiring music journalist, who moved down to the big smoke from his home in Edinburgh and Uni playground in Glasgow. He has written for many other online and print publications including The Skinny, The NME, Mixmag, Data Transmission and The Music Magazine, before finding a home reviewing and interviewing for Rivmixx.

Jazz Gill

Born and raised in the wild west of London, Jazz is a journalist straight out of the grime generation, all brrraps, caps and hoods. A bit like a ghetto Jeremy Paxman he is never afraid to ask the stars difficult questions. His passion for urban music means that if he doesn’t know about it then it is not worth knowing. Jazz never sleeps, as sleep is the cousin of death.

Craig Mills

Craig is a music reviewer who is excited about breaking through as a young journalist and getting his teeth into everything the industry has to offer. He loves a good bit of indie rock'n'roll (or the occasional bit of pop) to get the juices flowing with the latest records, gigs and festivals.

Ash Akhtar

Ash predominantly writes about music for various people. He also works as an A&R scout for R&S Records and its subsidiaries whilst slaving for local government during the day. As if that wasn't enough he sometimes plays guitar, scratches records and acts the fool if time allows.
